Default Using Android Smart Phone GPS?

Considering a new 2018 or 2019 RX; currently have 2013 and love it. I want a navigation system, but I would much prefer to use the WAZE program on my android smart phone than the Lexus Navi system . Can I do something to use my smart phone and have it synced to the RX dashboard screen? If so, what would be necessary?

depends on your android phone. I'm using an LG G6 it does not support HDMI output therefore the product in the link would not be beneficial to me. If you're using a Samsung you may have better luck.

As for "mirroring" your phone to the car's infotainment system, this would probably be your best choice. http://www.beatsonicusa.com/if04ep.html

you can also check with GROM Audio to see what they offer. I'm unsure if DICE audio still makes integration modules for vehicles as many vehicles have bluetooth audio function these days.

Beat-sonic makes a in motion bypass and a screen mirroring module, that is wireless.

I checked with vendor and they indicated I need to get a Navi system in order to use my WAZE program. I wanted to avoid the cost of the Navi.
