daryll40, I had the Scorpion Verdes on my '10 RXh and only got 25K out of them. I don't know if it's because they were relatively new at the time. Other 3RX members seemed to like them. They were ok in the snow. Towards the end, the traction light was coming on in turns while driving in the rain. Sure, I could've waited a little longer to see if Pirelli honored the mileage warranty. I was at 4/32. But winter was a few weeks away. They had to go. I wound up replacing them with the Premiers. One thing I noticed immediately, the ride was less stiff than the Scorpion Verdes but not mushy like the OE Dunlops that lasted barely 16K. It was just right.

There was one positive with the Scorpion Verdes. I rarely had to adjust the tire pressure, maybe once or twice a year. That was pretty amazing with the temperature swings. Before you made the change, visit an authorized Michelin tire dealer to see what you can do. It'll be a while before you have to worry about snow.

Thanks for your input on this. Doesn't seem to be a solid "go to" answer. Truthfully I've NEVER gotten more than 25,000 miles from any tire on any car in Pittsburgh. Even my son's current 2014 Corolla only got 22-23K on a set of Michelins (after the OEM Firestones wore out at about 17,000 miles). If I can get 25K from the Pirelli, I'd be happy. That being said, if YOU only got 25K, I might only get another 17K (similar to my OEM Michelins). At least Sam's Club will give a REAL, non-inflated-price pro-rate on either tire. I'm gonna take my chance with the Pirelli, but get it that they may not be better/may not last longer than the Michelins.

I like the OEM Bridgestones that came on my 2017 RX. They're not the greatest in the ice and snow but not that bad. I have 12K miles on them. When I had my IS's I always got at least 30-35K from Bridgestones.

Here I always thought Michelin was known for long tread life and that's what justified their pricing.

I haven't gotten more than 16-18K miles on any OE tire on the RX. That's why I go elsewhere when the time comes, mostly Michelin. But I had some decent tires from Bridgestone. The Dueler Alenzas were fantastic on my 2RX. I used to do snow roosters going uphill. And they lasted about 35K miles. Not too bad. Only Michelin (can't remember what model) looked brand new at 35K miles. But please don't focus on mileage alone. The Scorpion Verdes are not for everyone. It's definitely a firmer ride than the Premiers. The tires can be jumpy on potholes and uneven surfaces. If you wind up with the Pirellis, just make sure you can return them if you're not happy.

One thing to be remembered is that ALL tires should be replaced at 5-6 yrs of age from manufacturing REGARDLESS of thread depth as rubber deteriorates or mileage.
So when considering mileage or warranty one should consider how many miles/Km one would put on within that time period and buy accordingly.

I've run Michelins on my last 3 cars and have averaged about 60-65k on all of them. My new RX is my first car with Michelins as OEM. I understand OEMs don't last as long as replacement Michelins. I'll find out.

I have Toyo's on my 2015 Highlander. They are very quiet and at 33,000 miles they do not have excessive wear. My 2017 RX has Bridgestones but it's too early to tell how they are wearing.

My experience with Toyos on other cars has been terrific. I don't think they make them in the 20" RX size.

Without actually going to dealer lot and see what tire brand go on which RX350, Is there any way to tell which brand of tires the factory put on this car? I am hoping that the car that has the Premium package has the Michelin as I found the one that I have on my rig is quiet and comfy.
