Very little I suspect. I was at the dealer yesterday getting an oil change. They have 2 Ls in stock vs 50 standard length.

Maybe they're selling so good that they only have 2 left?

About to pull the trigger on a 2018 RX450H, Premium.
White on black.
MSRP $55,674
Discount $4,853
Selling Price $50,821
Doc $80
CA License $605
Tax @ 9% $$4,581
Total Price $56,124
Rebate $750
Out the door (cash) $55,374
Putnam Lexus, Redwood City CA.

What will I do?
Probably lease.
$19,800 down
$0 payment
3 years
12K miles per year
$33,404 residual.
With tax on $33K, the price is only about $850 more than cash purchase.
Then I have all kinds of options, esp I I don't like the car or want another.
All good.

Lots of leftover 17s +new 18s. The Ls have only start showing up on lots from Japan apparently. Give it a couple of months, and you can conclude then.

Very few 17s at my dealer so that's what my presumption is based on. Orders and inventory for the standard length are clearly well in excess of the L.

i took this quote to Arlington Lexus, Illinois..they tend to tell people that they’ll match and beat by $250. I was told they couldn’t beat that offer. I did also email Justin Balcer, who only gave me $1000 off msrp when I asked him I was hoping for a better offer he replied “Inventory is low nationwide”

today I received emails from 2 other Chicago dealerships. Mcgrath and Woodfield stating that they are beaten and they can’t match the quote from Brookfield Lexus. I have no idea how Chicago and surround dealerships are making a living!!! Do people buying don’t know how to make research or they are simply careless how to spend their money!!!

Maybe the demand is high for the L version and they do not need to discount it like the regular ones.

On a loaded 2018 RX350 FWD, I was offered $50k for a $55.9K MSRP. The residual is $32.4K which to me sounds terrible. Why is it so low, that's barely 58%? I thought Lexus' supposed to hold their value well. I was hoping at 61-64% This is for 3years, 36k miles.

anyone feel like this is a sham?

residual is low. The more quotes you get, the better view you will get at the real residual. You got to know the dealer will be in the win situation no matter what we do. We can only get the best numbers we can. Make sure you close the deal during the last week of the month. I would wait till March new incentives.
