So I got down to this in Arizona, Valley of the Sun.
RX350 with Navigation, Premium pack, 20 inch wheel, BSM, moonroof....with 53333 MSRP (inc. 399 tint), I got them down to 46000 before tax and fees, inc. 1500 cash rebate.
Like 7333 USD off. I think it's a good deal.
That's like 13.6% with Lexus cash. It's almost August already, so they have to give us these discounts. Not as good as someone here with 14% - 15% off but I think that's the best they can do for me, they said that they already losing money on the deal..LOL, like "we are at 3000 usd below our invoice"....blah blah blah...yeah, right...!
Oh, they gave me 4.3% APR, if I want the 2.9% finance, I can't take the 1500 though. What a bummer! So it's probably be 47500 with 2.9% APR.

My tax advisor also said I can lease the car for tax break since we have a small business. Should I lease it?
I never lease before, please help me with these.
Why they ask for 3599 usd at least at signing, is it all fees? Someone above said never put any money down on lease, right?
What is the money factor? How much residual should be at the end of the 36 month lease?
If I use more than 10K miles per year, I have to pay 25 cents for each mile. But if I end up buying the car, do I still pay extra for the mileage that I go over 10K/year or not?

Thanks much guys.

I'll post the details when they give me that lease sheet.

Hi guys,

Here it is...
So the same dealer gave me 7333 usd off on a 53333 MSRP gave me this lease, they think I didn't come to this forum...

10k miles per year, 36 months.
MF = .00185
Residual = 56%
with 3500 USD down, 615 usd per month

Should I run away from this dealer?
Someone above got 475 per month for same car, 39 months.

WTH? They did give me a 46000 purchase before tax and fees on that 53333 msrp car.

I think you should lease. There are many benefits of leasing. One of the main one in your case is that you get a free option to buy or return the car at lease end. If the residual is higher than the market value you can return it and buy the same car at a lower price. Also, you will get the lease cash which is free money plus your effective interest rate could be lowered at next to zero if you put MSDs. On the tax side you can claim depreciation or deduct the lease but check with your CPA because there are some limitations for luxury vehicles.

I try not to put much down on a lease. A couple of hundred on fees, DMV at most. $3599 down on a 36 month lease is like adding $100 per month and you don't get to collect interest on that $3600. If you trade the car in early say at 33 months (very common and Lexus will eat those payments if you get another Lexus. (Disposition fee as well) Assuming it is financed through Lexus. Now that $3599 is an extra $109 per month.
And no if you go over mileage and buy out the car there is no problem. Try to structure the lease with enough miles though. Don't pay for extra though if you are pretty sure you won't need it.. My wife is in a 7500 mile lease because she drives less than 5000 per year on average.
Truthfully if you have no plan to buy it out at the end of the lease all of the other numbers are meaningless. Only thing that matters is how much per month and how much to start.
If you have Honcker in your area (leasing App) I found it to be a good bargaining tool for myself and a few friends.

Sorry guys, but what is MSD?

They always ask for 2900 to 3500 total amount at signing, and then 615 per month, if not they will roll it into the payments and it'll become a whooping 723 usd per month.

I think that's tax and fees and first month payment, right?

You guys think that's a bad deal? I think so.

MSD = Multiple Security Deposits. Yes it's a bad deal. Do you have an actual quote for the lease? Something doesn't seem right with the numbers. The 3500 may include sales tax. I don't know if in AZ you have to pay the full sales tax when you sign a lease. Based on your MSRP and discount, ignoring sales tax your payment should be around 470 with about 1K down for dealer fees, registration and 1st month payment. This is with max MSDs

Yes tax and dealer fees, maybe DMV. Every state is different but looking at Honcker in NY for a $53,472 car Sign and drive is $606/month 36 month 10,000 miles $591 for 39 months. That,s everything rolled in pay first month $606 and that,s it. If you were coming out of a Lexus Lease it would be 30 or more less this month. (just traded in an RX see above. 7500 miles 42 months (will likely trade in at 39 months) $59,500 sticker for $583 with first month and $145 cash for fees, DMV and inspection.

Someone commented it would be a better deal with more mileage and less months and yes it would but not going to happen at that price in my area.

Downpayment was only $3500 and monthly payments are $475.
Hipe this helps in your negotiations.
Hi nyc1dxo,

You said 3500 USD down payment. Are those a separate down payment besides tax, fees and first month payment?
What is the amount due at signing for you to drive it off the lot?

Money factor is marked up to an insane amount, bad deal. Don't put any money down and use max MSDs as mentioned by others. Start from here to build a basic understanding of the leasing concept:

Would you accept this offer for a 2018 RX 450H?

MSRP: 52,153
Discount: 6,453 (12.4%)
Incentive: 1,500
Price: $44,200 + taxes, processing, and tags

It's tempting to wait for better incentives (December to Remember), but there are only three cars within 300 miles with our color combo, and I don't know if it will be available later in the year.

I think you are getting a good discount. You may be able to squeeze a few hundred bucks worth of discount plus another 500-1000 in incentives but if you have to have a specific color combo you should probably jump on it. I have a lot of flexibility with respect to color so I am going to wait till December.

Thanks cezar9. We're going to accept that offer.

I agree aboit the discount. One dealer actually offered a couple hundred more off, but it wasn't in the color we wanted. And to anyone that is flexible on the color, I'd bet the icentives improve later in the year.
