Picked up my 2017 RX a week ago and the NAV doesnt have a tollway entrance that opened at least 6 months ago. Anyone ever get a free update from the dealer?

Be sure that "Toll Roads" are turned on in the Nav Selection setup screen.

Lead time on data for NAVs is enormous. In Australia the data can be 2 years old when you buy the car. Do they use TomTom data in the US, if so same as Australia and knowing how TomTom and the car manufacturers work the data will be very old.

The maps are probably way older than 6 months in the NAV. Not to mention, the map provider is usually way slower than, for example Google Maps. Be thankful you're in the US. In Canada, some roads open for 2+ years didn't make in my RX when we bought it. No plans to update the factory NAV, probably costs an arm and leg and will never be truly up to date anyway.

Picked up our 17 RX350 Nav at the end of Oct 2017. Didn't notice the maps were out of date for our area until late Nov. After some phone calls to parts and sales, I was told that new map data (US) was released in October but to update the maps would be my out of pocket (~$300?). That said, got a big NEGATIVE for free or comp'd map updates. I guess in hindsight, yet another item that could've been negotiated in the sale.

how can you tell the installed version and the updated version ?? is it listed somewhere ??

I recall finding the installed map data version somewhere in a menu. Will try to remember to look and find the path to get there. Provided that info to parts and they told me an update was available for cha-ching.
