2017 RX350 FWD - Wind Noise at >80mph
When I'm doing 80MPH or over, I hear a lot of wind noise inside the cabin.
My windows are always rolled up so I'm wondering if this is normal for the RX - 4th Gen.
Is there anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks.

Thanks. My RX came with a roof rack. It's a bummer if that's one reason causing the wind noise.

It has the crossbars. The RX came with it so I assume it was installed correctly by the factory.

My 2017 RX-450H has just the roof side rails and none of the noise you are describing. However, in my 2015 RX-350 it was very quiet with just the roof side rails until I added the cross rails. Not only did the cross rails add a lot of wind noise, the noise was buffeted and uneven. After a few months the noise was still there but I tuned it out and it was something I stopped noticing.

I know on my 2010 RAV4, the crossbars can be removed. No idea about the RX as mine only came with the rails.

Cross bars became an option because 1) few folks use them, 2) EPA CAFE ratings are
calculated with all Standard Equipment installed and 3) they make noise. Are you using
your rack regularly? Consider removing it.
Second cause of noise, the outside rearview mirrors. Temporarily fold them in at your
chosen speed and see if that is a source. Might your RX have 3M protective film applied?
As ridiculous as it may seem, we had an LS460 with a crazy whistling sound that turned
out to be the film applied about 3/8 of an inch too close to the window on the drivers mirror.

Remove the Roof Rack Cross bars. It is REALLY easy. You should have a tool that came with the car along with instructions to remove them. They cause wind noise and cause excessive wind drag, hence fuel economy penalty.
At 80 mph this car is whisper quiet. This is the real example of hearing a needle drop.
Now, getting off the line, it is not as quiet with lots of droaning...
