I had the rather anemic 318 cid V-8. I never had any cooling issues, but I sure didn’t have any power in that freak’n land yacht. It had torsion bar suspension & it would literally wallow down the road, just like a boat in choppy water. I moved up from the Plymouth to a 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ with a sunroof & AM/FM/Cassette. It had those horrible 4X10 speakers on the rear deck & crappy 3” speakers in the dash. I replaced the entire sound system with Blaupunt. I wish I had never sold that car! It was a true personal luxury cruising car.

So I live in NJ and don't really have concerns for the signal. I've had the '17 ES since April and my peave with the XM radio (not ML) is that it only shows partial names of the songs and artists, whereas another XM radio I have, shows it all. whats up with that??

Yes, that’s what I do. My radio is so jacked up - I display my audio on the left side (big part of screen). When I get a call, the freak’n map comes up in that spot & the phone call moves over to the right side (small part of screen).

So how does the split screen enable the longer names of songs and groups to be fully displayed? I should add that I am using full screen mode.

Mine does not allow the longer names. Our VW has a smaller screen, but longer titles/names scroll. Lexus doesn’t do that. Like I said before, this stuff is junk. Yes, it sounds good & that’s the only reason why I keep it.

2017 RX 450h - XM Radio
2017 RX 450h. XM with Levinson package. XM subscription: "All Access" so should have all available channels.
Do not have access to channels in 300 range. We have another new car (not Lexus) which receives these channels on radio.
Called XM. Not much help. Just stated that radio must not allow access to those channels in 300 range. XM suggested I use phone to access those channels and play through car. Possible but a lot easier if on radio.
Quick Question: anyway to modify radio ti receive those channels? software update? install different chip in radio?

A little off topic but while we're here, does anyone know how to easily change HD Radio Multicast Channels? I am talking about changing channels while already on a station. For example, 94.9 has 3 stations within it.
