i remember reading/seeing a bulletin for the NX where there is a sequence to release the e-brake with a tool or manually.
i just assumed lexus uses the same/similar tech between its vehicles.

I think that's only for Audi or VW? On the RX, you should be able to turn off the auto parking brake by holding down the parking brake switch until the "auto" light turns off. It's on pg 238 in the owners manual. Let me know if that's not what you needed. There's a "service" section in the app that I didn't even look at yet, so there might be something in there. I'm pretty sure carista doesn't have any service functions for the RX though.

so there isn't a need for any special tools (mechanical or electronic) to service the rear brakes... just simply turn off the "auto e-brake"
^it was meant to be a question - i guess time will tell after ppl drive enough miles and need to service the rear brakes...

Anyone know what the "Engine Start Indicator" does? I've switched it on and off but it doesn't seem to do anything? I have an FSport, but does the base model have some kind of light that comes on when the car is on?

I ask, because I turned on all of these options hoping I could open and close everything via the FOB and I can only successfully open everything.

So per the Carista website, the adapter is $20, and comes with a free month of the app to change the settings and everything. Do you have to leave the adapter plugged in, or do you take it out once you change the settings? Is there any reason you would need more than 1 month of service with this thing? Once I change the settings I feel like I'd be done with it.
