Default 16' fsport accident

well i got rear-ended and will be going to my dealers collision shop for an estimate. Fotunately it looks to mainly be the bumper cover but wanted to get any helpful advice since its a new car. in our state im due ome parts since less than 20k miles...anything folks can think of that I should be mindful of?

mcfancy,
Sorry to hear that man, just wondering do you have Pre-Collision System package?

1. Make sure they get the new cover installed with "new clips" and that the fit is aligned correctly.
2. Make sure your park sensors work before leaving repair shop. Easiest thing to do is to have the vehicle in reverse while pressing break, while someone walks around the car to activate each sensor.

Good luck.

also the BSM and cross traffic! I think the sensors are on the side behind the bumper!!!

sorry to hear, but sounds like no one got injured. Hope the repair goes well!

Sorry to hear this.. Make sure that they put the RX on a lift when they inspect for damage so they can check behind the bumper.. It may only look like the bumper cover, but you would be surprised the damage that can happen from a low speed impact

Shouldn't make a difference. He got hit from behind and not the other way around.

$2k sounds about right. Our 2013 was hit in a very similar fashion with damage just like yours and ended up just under $1900.

Best wishes in the repair.
