I have hosed down, while washing, both of my 450h units and not seen any signs of a leak.

No issues here either. My car is parked outdoors most of the time in rainy Seattle.

The dealer replaced my sunroof seal (sounds more reasonable than windshield. All new car smell are gone after that fix, and replaced by strange oil/grease smell.) So I guess maybe this issue is more on regular sunroofs.

Hosed the roof and windshield for about 10 minutes and so far so good. This is on a '17 4RX350 with JT VIN series. Hopefully, it stays that way.

But for me, water intrusion in a brand new $60K car is a very serious concern. And yes I will try the garden hose test just to make sure it doesn't leak in the rain. I wonder how much water has to leak before it starts showing on the overhead mic?
I know for sure that after washing my car and opening the moon roof, you will see a puddle of water in this black area where the glass is supposed to be. I'm assuming that due to some poor seal, that water is leaking from there into the car. I'll try and take some pics the next time I wash my car.

Default Same issue with 2017 RX350

Seems I have the same issue with a 2017 with 13,000 miles. Anyone with knowledge with what exactly the issue is?

So, it also happened to my 16' RX350 2 weeks ago during a heavy rain with 23,000 km, water leaks from the hands free mic area as well. Went to a local dealer and reported this problem and they are aware of this issue and had completed few sunroof replacements in the past.

Parts shipped in from Vancouver to Toronto and it took around 12 calendar days and left the car in the shop for one day to replace while dealer has provided a loaner. Today, it is hard raining in Toronto, so far so good, no leak. Hope this is the end of it. Part # 63201-48210

Default Same leak

We just bought the RX 350 2016 in April and today was the first time it’s been in a down pore. I got in a the car and it was leaking from the microphone port! I guess we’ll have to take it in! Not happy about this.

This problem still exists, on my 2017 RX350, 2T version, regular sunroof.
CPOed at 22K miles built in 2016, just noticed now, owned by us for a month.

Well, we had a hard rain of about 2” this evening & my 2016 RX 450h with the regular sunroof suddenly started dripping from the overhead microphone. Also, one of my hatch struts has suddenly started squealing when the hatch is opened or closed. This car is becoming a disappointment at 20,000 miles.

Im certainly interested what they tell you, I’ve got 40k on mine and no leak yet, but all these posts has me paranoid. I do have a squeaky strut too. Haven’t asked about that yet.

We had to have the entire infotainment system replaced, alignment (brand new & it wasn’t aligned) We had an absolutely crazy fiasco getting the windshield replaced (from a tiny little rock chip). I had to take it away from the dealer after 2 weeks of ridiculous excuses as to why it wasn’t done. The cargo cover fell apart & chewed up the side trim panels & now this. Ironically, it rained today & it didn’t leak a drop. Yesterday, I opened & closed the sunroof to check it. Perhaps that sealed it back up. I have owned 3 other different brands of vehicles with a regular sunroof & not one ever leaked!

Genuinely sorry to read about the issues you're having with your RX. I too have had many a sunroof in various vehicles and never encountered any of them leaking.

I am having a similar issue. We have had a decent amount of rain here over the last 24 hours. I pulled of out the driveway today and water poured out of the overhead light console. I have a call into the dealer.
