Both Oakland and Serramonte offered me the same price. I negotiated via email and never set foot in the dealership until delivery. Currently Lexus offers $1000 cash rebate.

I live in Westchester county NY. Couldn't find it here. I know I would not be able to get a good deal in NY if I find one. Is there a draw back getting an RX far away from your state area. Just wondering what if something goes wrong with the vehicle and might bring it back where you bought it and car loaner.
I also looked at dealers near NY and the best offer I got was only $2500 off MSRP. I ended up getting my RX from Lexus of Silver Spring, it was about a 2-3 hr.

If you don't mind making a weekend trip out of it, it is worth the drive. Negotiate the price ahead of time, tell them to have the paper work ready when you get there, and bring along someone you like. That way you can check the car before you drive it off. Also for all future service you can bring it to any Lexus dealership near you.

Just leased a 2017 RX 350 FWD in TX.
msrp: $49,9XX

36 months
12,000 miles / year

Trade in pay off: $33,800 *Traded in a Leased vehicle, early*
Trade in value: $32,500

I cut a check for $1,400.00 (Basically just the negative equity of the trade), nothing more.

$599.95/month

*this transaction took place in Texas, apparently you get no tax incentive when trading in a leased vehicle.

Do you have to pay Taxes on Full amount or just the lease portion in Texas.
What was the Net Price of the Car ?

If trading a leased vehicle taxes have to paid on the full as technically the person does not own a leased vehicle ... hence taxes were never paid early on ...

I thought Texas is one of those states where a Lessee has to pay taxes on the Full price of the Car and not the Lease price.
So he must have paid Taxes on the full price of the car he traded in and then paid taxes again on New RX 350 full net price.

I do believe you are correct. We have to pay tax on the full price of the car for any lease.

That is correct in most circumstances, but manufacturers can and do provide lease credits on models they are really trying hard to move.

I received tax credits on my previous 2015 RX lease, which effectively was me paying 1% sales-tax as opposed to 6.25%. It was a great deal, but I doubt they are doing anything close to that on 4RX yet hence why I purchased my 4RX and keeping it for longhaul.
