Does anyone know if the OEM cross bars will accomodate sliding T mount accessories? I have a BMW cargo box and I am not sure if these cross bars will work with it or if I will have to purchase a new cargo box as well as the cross bars.

OEM bars work fine with my Thule cargo box



Hard to tell what the Thule clamps look like, but if you stop at a local Thule dealer and look at their cargo boxes you'll get the idea to see if your box will work

Thanks for the reply. My box does not have this type of clamp. There is a T-Mount on the bottom of the box that slides into a channel on the cross bar. Can you tell me if the OEM cross bar has any type of channel on it that would allow a t shaped piece to slide inside and be tightened? I can't seem to locate a good enough photo of the OEM crossbar to be able to tell if it has a channel.

Yakima has a similar system where you can slide accessories on top of the bars, but i don't think Yakima makes cross bars for our RX yet...


Maybe you can bring your T bolt to a local Thule dealer and see if it'll slide onto a Thule Aeroblade crossbar
