Send destinations from google maps to RX?
#31
daveylin, the option to disconnect is shown on your phone...your phone should not be
out to enter anything "hands free" remember?
The method of entering Nav information to the car while driving is to either:
1) Press the speech button on the steering wheel and say "Launch Destination Search",
when the screen displays a rotating symbol you then say the Name and City/State
of the destination. Choose from the results or "try again" if it's not there.
2) Press Center Console Menu/Apps/Destination to bring up the entry screen.
I prefer this method because it does not interrupt my music. Proceed as above
with the speech button.
After selecting your destination consider using "Mark" to place a modifiable flag to use
in the future.

What I thought the other user was posting was that there was a way to use the app to find an address and hit "map" and it would send that address and load it into the navi automatically.
I love the car in every way except the navi, its just plain horrible to get addresses into the system... I use my phone a lot more then my navi cause it takes me like 15 seconds to find an address on google maps and hit start vs like 3 to 4 min trying to enter the address or use one of the other methods.

When you are on the NaviBridge map screen, does it show your connection "online" at the bottom right corner? If not, then the app isn't connected and will not forward the destination.
I don't use the onboard navi really, I'm usually using Waze.

I've never tried to do that. I don't actually know if that would enhance the app at all anyways. The main purpose is to find a destination and send the location to the car's navi.

So I am confused, can you clarify, I downloaded the app suit and hit the destination search, that part is easy enough, but after I find something, I need to save it, then sync the phone and go to car and go to saved destinations.
Is there an easier way? I dont see a "Map" option.

The eight icon screen that shows on your phone when it is NOT connected
to the car will be shown on the Nav screen when your phone IS connected.
The icon "Destination Search" will trigger the microphone for verbal entries.
The icon "Saved Destinations" will bring up those you found on the App before
driving. After you start the car it will ask if you want to Sync the Saved Dest.
if you have added any since the last drive. Limit 10 Saved.
This feature is phone specific, any additional driver(s) can run there own App
Suite and have different Destinations and Pandora stations and iHeart programs.

Google Maps and NAVAGATION
I there a way to pull up an address on our phone (Google Maps and have it send the data to the Nav screen ?
I trust Google maps and Waze more than I do the built in Nav. Its also faster and quicker mapping . B
