HD Radio and skipped Presets when scrolling
I noticed something very strange. With HD radio I can get multiple "channels" on the same FM frequency.
I can add each separate "channel" as a different preset.
BUT, when I scroll through with the steering wheel buttons, it goes to the first preset on that frequency, then JUMPS OVER all the other presets that are tied to that same frequency, but are the other "channels", and continues down the preset list.
Like I can have 89.5FM HD1 on preset 3, 89.5FM HD2 on preset4, 89.5FM HD3 on preset5. When I scroll, I get preset 3, then right to preset 6. If I go to list view, I can select preset 3, 4, and 5, with the mouse - no problem.
What's up with that?

OK, wait, I found the solution!
In the main menu screen, select Radio>Source>FM> Now here you either get the list of presets, or a large screen with the station info. To toggle to the station info screen, hit INFO if you are in the preset screen.
Now there is a HD Radio button at the bottom of the screen - THAT needs to be turned ON! Now the scrolling works just fine.
Beats me how that ever got turned off...or why you would want to turn it off.....

Good info! As for having the option to turn it off... It is helpful if you are on the fringe of a stations broadcast area. The weak signals can bounce between regular and HD and that gets annoying very quickly. If you live in an area with strong reception all the time I agree that it makes sense to leave HD on all the time.
