I just contacted Nigel from JDM. It appears the price of the F Sport grill "kit" has jumped up to $2,200 shipped? Are these parts not available in the US?
|
I would recommend sourcing OEM parts from the dealer with the part numbers listed on this thread.

Camera under Lexus logo, sensors lower left and lower right. Anyone know which grill part number this one is? I'm having difficulty deciphering the gibberish in the chart below.. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...c0fbf65b81.png |

Wow, that looks amazingly good! Did it require any custom work for the lower grill fitment?

Hi Nigel,
You have mentioned re the option 2 (F-Sport grilles on standard non F-Sport RX450H). I am thinking of the conversion. Can you send me a price? I am in Toronto, Canada. Just one more question; for the replacement of this grille, do I have to dismantle the entire bumper? Thank you. Joe |

What's the part number that you used for the lower grille?

I was waiting for a long time for this grill through our local bodyshop. It took about 2 hours to install it. It was very fine work and the result exceeded my expectations. I think their is no necessity to replace the whole bumper and grill. Our lexus dealer asked about $2200. I believe the amount they asked grossly exaggerated. I found an alternative way, emailed a guy and he was really helpful and I ordered through him. The quality of the grill and paint are excellent. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...ca5c758f8d.jpg |

Will this void the warranty?

However, if the reason for a parts failure is unclear, a dealer will usually charge you to diagnose the vehicle. If the aftermarket part was not properly installed or a modification led to a component failure, it is within the dealer's right to void the warranty for that part, and you will have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. If the aftermarket parts had nothing to do with the repairs in question, you will be refunded the fee for the diagnosis. If you have any modification done correctly it will not void your warranty. But for example say you add illuminated door sills and you splice into your illuminated entry circuit. You didn’t use an inline fuse and you end up burning out the the circuit now when the dealer checks it out and finds the cause they will make you pay for a diagnostic fee and for parts and labor on this repair. But on the same visit your flux capacitor stopped fluxing which was totally unrelated they must honor that repair since they can’t prove that your door splice had anything to do with that. |
