Toyota recalls 2016 RAV4, RX350, and ES350 for stability failure
Perhaps this could be one of the reasons why I totaled my RX, when my brakes didn't react fast enough...

TOYOTA RECALLS CERTAIN 2016 MODEL YEAR RAV4 AND LEXUS RX AND ES VEHICLES
TORRANCE, Calif., April 6, 2016 – Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. today announced that it is recalling approximately 4,170 Model Year 2016 Toyota RAV4; approximately 90 Model Year 2016 RX350; and approximately 12,400 Model Year 2016 ES350.
The involved vehicles are equipped with a Brake Actuator assembly that enables enhanced brake control functions including the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control (TRAC), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), among others. There is a possibility that a component inside the actuator could have been damaged during manufacturing, preventing the actuator from operating properly. This could cause a loss of vehicle stability control, increasing the risk of crash.
All known owners of the affected Toyota vehicles will be notified by first class mail. Toyota and Lexus dealers will check the serial number of the Brake Actuator and replace actuators assembled during a specific production period.
Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is subject to change over time. For the most up-do-date Safety Recall information on Toyota, Lexus or Scion vehicles, customers should check their vehicle's status by visiting toyota.com/recall and entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Safety Recall inquiry by individual VIN is also available at the NHTSA site: safercar.gov/vin. For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling Toyota Customer Service at 1-800-331-4331 and Lexus Customer Experience at 1-800-255-3987.

Hopefully, it wasn't this issue that caused your crash. What was your replacement?

I decided to get the same car, but this time all the features I originally wanted plus the RED interior. Car eta is tomorrow!

I got "Braking Power Low" alert everyday in the morning after parking overnight. After starting the car it went away. Dealer checked and told me it is a brake related part having problem and the part is on back order. No ETA. It will probably take a month to get it. My RX 350 is only having 2600 miles on it. I checked my VIN number doesn't show this recall. They give me a 16' 450h loaner car to hang around during the long wait. Hopefully this is just a single point failure!

I crashed my Lexus RX350 due to brakes failure
Hi guys,
I was travelling 90-100 km/h, kept a good 4-cars distance away from the guy infront of me. I applied the brakes really hard twice when I saw the other guy braked. My Brakes failed and slammed on to the other car.
I complained to Lexus Canada immediately to get it checked out but they said they will send their people to have a look at what's wrong and let me know. Isn't there a third party that I can go to to check out what is wrong? Why would the manufacturer admit that their brakes failed when they found out?
Thanks for the insights.
Cheers.
