Oh, and at my 5k check up, I asked them to disable the seatbelt warning and they said OK.
Good. I'm happy for you.

Default Disable 2017 RX Seatbelt Chime

Does anyone know how I can disable the seatbelt chime for the 2017 RX 350? I take a lot of short drives <5min and I would like to keep my belt off without that annoying chime go off. I've searched the forum but it is all old information from years ago so I was wondering if there is a current best method?

There is no way I know of as it would defeat the purpose of spending all that money on safety equipment if one could disable them.

Toyota Techstream can turn it off. I have my RX set to flash the light on the dash but not chime. I think the dealer can also change it under the customization settings. I bought my Techstream cable online, and run the software as a Virtual Machine on a mac.

Like they have been saying. Use Carista for the shortest subscription. I used it once for our Rav and the RX and changed the lane change signal from 3 to 5 blinks, and I turned off the chime on the seat belts. The red light stull flashes when the seat belt is not connected, but for me that is OK. I like not having to buckle up when just taking the car out of the garage or some other short move.
There are many many other Carista options available, but these two come to mind.
