Default How do you mount front license plate?

My car didn't come with a license plate holder so I'm not sure where to put the plate 🤔.

There should be one. Check the trunk and underfloor storage area. If you can't find it, ask the dealer and they are suppose to provide you with one. The mount and the plate will be placed in the center of the grille.

It will be in a plastic bag by the spare tire. Lots of storage under there.

Cool

Front license plate ruins the looks of the car.

I don't like that the front plate holder is shorter than the actual license plate - could result in an unsightly bent plate.

Funny you should say that... A friend in Houston bought a G37 years ago and the dealer asked him if the wanted him to put the front bracket on. He said no because it looked ugly. They advised him of the laws and said if he wanted to change his mind that he had something like 10 days to come back and they would install it for free. I think he made it 3 or 4 days before he was pulled over and received a warning for not having a front license plate. Back to the dealership he went....

Hehehe. He was not happy but glad he didn't get a ticket. I see cars all the time without front plates then and now and the fact he was pulled over for it just makes it that much funnier. I could probably get him all worked up about it just mentioning it. I wonder if not still aggravates him, lol...

The dealer should install the front license plate since it's required in NJ. And remove the dealer frame. That's technically illegal. No obstruction of the license plate allowed.

I opted not to put one on my GS350 and was fine for 4 years before I got pulled over for speeding...and then got a separate ticket for no front plate. The latter typically gets dropped if you show the judge that you installed it.

For the RX, holes do not need to be drilled.

I did until I got my ES. Been driving it for a year without front plates and I live next door to a police officer.
I don't plan to put them on the RX either.
