Generally speaking I like the pinstripe on some cars. But would never let any dealership do it because they charge like $300+ for it. I can buy a pinstripe kit on ebay for $15. I did my own pinstripe on my 4GS and I like it. I just dont like the pinstripe on the New 4RX. Too many angles on that car, which makes the pinstripe ugly.
Pin striping straight and clean on my now traded in 2013. See attached photo. They put it on free at the dealer for those who wanted it at the time. See attached photo. No such offer for my 2016, just as well, looks wavy and out of sync, at least in the OP's photo.
The car has a sporty look-- personally, I like the pinstripe. BTW- My wife hates the grill of the '16 and makes the car look ugly but I bought the car anyway because I like it. Same for the pinstripe or any other customizing that one does. The good news is that it can be removed if you get tired of it.
Let's create even more lines and angles on the car shall we? Just STOP! LOL
Also, pinstripes make the car look like grandpa should be driving it... back in 1970.
I thought pinstripes went out of style in the early 80's? If not, they should have. You will never see a German luxury car with pinstripes, so maybe there's your answer. I can't believe Lexus dealers still do this.
