I will say that my MB service dept was exceptional, even better than Lexus. But then again, you know it's bad when you're there so often that you get to know almost every person by first name. And I'm not kidding..
I can not say the same about my service department. My first time to the service department on "limp mode" they drove me down to the local car rental place and tried to put me in a Nissan Sentra which had the back seat covered in vomit! I refused and thye returned me to the dealer ship to put me in a CLA250. Why anyone would buy a CLA250 I will never know but the rear seat did not have vomit on it!

Wow that stinks.. On the other hand for example there was one time that my wife ran into a problem with the Command going on and off for no reason. So I called my SA and he told me to have her bring it in, this was without an appt.

When she gets there they are running low on loaners and this is a large dealer that always uses MB vehicles as loaners. Since they are also a Smart Car dealer they offer her a Smart Car.

She declined not because it wasn't an MB, she declined because she said didn't feel safe in it, I can't blame her. She even told them to rent her a car as long as its a decent size she didn't care what it was.

So after 15 mins my SA gave her the Service Directors ML550 as loaner which we had for several days. Like I said the ML may have been a POS but in our case the dealer made it a little easier to deal with.

Default GLE vs RX 450h

Here's another comparison with the GLE, this time with the hybrid though...

GLE will be replaced in a couple years and is already showing its age, even with the refresh. Drives a lot more like a truck too with the weight. Drove a few 2 year old MLs and they felt really beat up and loose. Didnt seem to be holding up well, which is the sale as my past MB ownership exp.

I have my RX less than a week and so far I'm loving it. I considered the GLE couple but couldn't do it. I found more value in the RX.

I wouldn't buy the current GLE. There's too much better competition in the two row segment. If the next gen has a lot of the design and tech that's in the new E-Class it will be a good option.

I feel sorry for the person who bought that used piece of ----!
Been there done that................ I had a 2000 ML430 that was the worst vehicle I ever owned also. More than $16,000.00 in warranty work in the first 4 years of ownership and like you, on a first name basis with the service department.

"The Best Or Nothing" or the "The Mercedes Experience Unlike Any Other"...... what a joke.
Just my 2 cents.
