20 inch for potential handling/lower sidewall
18 inch for ride and comfort/larger sidewall

replacement cost, well it depends on what you want to spend

Is there anyone out there who has the 20" on their RX and actually feels that the ride is too harsh? It sounds like the people who have compared can't tell the difference.

I went to the dealership and drove an 18 and 20 back to back on the same roads. I did notice a slight difference. Things like broken pavement and manhole covers were more jarring on the car with 20" wheels. It was subtle though. The plush ride is one of the things i like most about my RX, so i think i am going to put the F Sport wheels on craigslist.

I think he means tinted windshield. In this case Luminar 90 tint which is minimal darkness but with good solar heat rejection.

I have 3m crystalline 80 front windshield and 40 sides on my RC-F.

I imagine they will look great on my caviar black RX but I am hesitant about ruining the ride. Thoughts? I plan to get the Michelin premiers.

It doesn't ruin the ride, but you will almost definitely feel a difference. I test drove the 18" and 20", and the 18" definitely did ride better, however, the 18" tires are so small and ugly, and the 20" inch tires came with the luxury package so I got the 20"

The 18s are the same total circumference as the 20s due to increased sidewall IE-more tire than rim.
Small and ugly? You referring to the rims then? Give me a break. We're only talking 2" here.

Still makes a big difference in terms of appearance. 2" is a lot, I will refrain from making an inappropriate joke here but you really set yourself up for one.

Even 1" change on rim diameter already makes a huge visual difference, let alone 2" jump. I used to own a 2009 corolla couple years ago and the stock rim was 16". I upgraded it to 17" and it was day and night in the look.

That's fine by me. Those are your opinions. But the 18s in no way look "small and ugly" to me or anyone else who has seen my RX, and I'm entitled to MY OPINION. I was addressing that comment. It's his opinion, but in my opinion, it was a bit overstated.
To my eyes, the 18s look great and are substantial. The wheel wells are filled out fine between them and the bigger tire-I have more rubber in there which I like. Yeah I think the 20s look very cool on your RXs especially those "pedal" ones (not thrilled with that word descriptive though) fortunately, Lexus did s tasteful match up with BOTH sizes.

BTW this RX gets a ton of looks and it's easy to see that it isn't because of the rims being too small LMAO

You should see the 20" tires on the lexus compared to my 65 mustang with 13" tires. No comparison....!

Also this is what 51 years of automotive advancement looks like!

The size of the rims itself isn't the whole thing. The thicker tires however along with the smaller rims make it look unproportionate, along with the 2009 Camry looking rims. In my eyes it just makes the car look old. I'm not saying the Luxury Package ones are very pretty either (for my specific case). The black inserts do look really out of place with the Satin Cashmere Metallic exterior that I have, but all of the other inserts look even worse with the color combo....

For some reason the 18" wheels on Black RXs look the worst to me. The 18" silver wheels on white or silver Rxs look fine to me. Anyways, I am having the 20" F sport wheels put on tomorrow. I test drove a Hydris with 20" wheels. Yeah, i could feel a little difference in the ride.

After 51 years it probably still brings more smile to your face when you ride it!
