Default How does the RX come to you right off the truck?

Does anyone have any ideas or know how their RX came to them from the factory?

I am hoping that there are lots of protective coverings on the inside and outside, but from a post I remember only seeing the plastic on the wheels on the exterior.

Just wanting to make sure I know what to tell the dealer as I do not want them to remove any coverings when the car arrives.

I am hoping the car looks something like this:

Why do you want to see it with the paper on it?

Because a new car coming from the factory wrapped up is just like a virgin. He wants to be the cars first.

cuckolds love that

I buy all my cars wrapped (sloppy seconds) as I don't like dealer monkeys scratch it up. Been doing it for 10 years. Dealer have no problem with it.

Just look at he pics thread. Besides that just tell the dealership to leave it undetailed,or to call you when the truck comes in, post-pdi to get it picked up. Personally have not, but I have a couple friends who have specific directions for all their vehicles when they are signed:

1) NO Ads on the car (like the badging or even the license holder)
2) Do not remove the delivery packaging, just do the PDI

They get the car delivered directly to the detailer, who works on it and then they pick it up.

All in all $500-1000 detail job from the get.

When I do the sales contract I specify no dealer advertising including the license plate holder. I am shocked how many people allow free dealer advertising.

Be upfront with the sales rep and in your own words. It lessens the chances of miscommunication. Most dealers are willing to accommodate.

Nah I'd get them to remove the protective coverings and do PDI but no wash/detail.

Any damage you find under those protective coverings is your problem and you have NO say if they don't inspect it before hand.

Interesting.. that makes sense.. But what are the chances that the vehicle is damaged under the protective plastic film?

But what you say DOES make sense.. maybe I can just withhold the car wash and leave the coverings on the INTERIOR since it should mostly be clear.
