Has anyone seen the Hybrid blue illuminated door sills yet?

Update: I ordered the white ones, even though I have a 450h, I think the white will look much better with my Ultra White RX than the blue.

I ordered the hybrid version to match my hybrid. I installed them on Friday - it took less than 15 minutes even while taking a bunch of pictures. Instructions said to disconnect negative battery cable but I skipped that step.

PT944-48161 is the hybrid version per the installation manual. However the box I received said PT944-48160 (gas) version.

Hint: Pull from the very far edges to remove the sills and it should be a cake walk. Hopefully these pictures will help.

Different shape on the illuminated sills

Done!

So glad I found this post but curious if the scuff plates will work for my 2007 ES350. Do you know by chance?

question. To those of you WITH dashcams,

is it a 100 percent necessity?

I've lived a long time without one but not sure if I should spend the money and time to install them.

Is it worth it?

It's not 100 percent necessity, but nice to have. Because video footage doesn't lie, but people does.

GOt them on factory lexus, used CL5 code for discount.

They included the instructions so I used those.

VERY EASY. I thought it would take me an hour but it took me 5 mins total.

All you do is grab the current door sill from the back closest to the seat, then pull.

Don't be afraid.

After, you unclip the power that is already there, attach it to the illuminated door sill.

TEST to make sure they work by making sure your DOOR light is depressed.

Then attach it back.

I started with one side and slowly pressed it down.

On the manual it says to BE CAREFUL and make sure you don't pinch the rubber seal or any wires. So I carefully took one side and moved the rubber seal out then pressed down. VERY EASY.

Thanks. Looks really neat. But how you power the rear camera. I just want to know where you connect the power to.

BTW, you can use a MirrorTap to power the your Max360.

Rear camera get power from front camera. it's a 2 ch, and front camera is connect to power magic pro then power magic pro are tap to fuse box.

Yes, I know I could mirrortap, but I like using smartcord. I might get hard wire smartcord and tap to fuse box.

Default Illuminated Door Sills

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this club and a recent owner of a 2016 RX-350. I am glad to see that the illuminated door sill is a simple DIY option. While doing research on this, I found the official Lexus instructions to install these parts. Please see attached PDF.

Cheers, Thivi

I want the blue lights like I had in my is350... can I buy the hybrid version and use it in my gas version to get the blue light instead of white?

Thanks!

Yes you can install the blue lights.

Also, the manual is correct but I skipped a few steps.

No need to remove negative battery terminal.

Also no need to for any fuse box.

Simply pop from one side and the cable will be there. Attach the cable, TEST by turning on the DOOR light on the middle map light area.

MAKE SURE when you reinstert the door sill you do not get the rubber caught inside the door sill. Just be careful and make sure the rubber is on the border of the door sill

Installed these right when they were delivered today. Took 5mins each side, pop out a few clips per side and insert plug and play socket and good to go. Got the hybrid blue for non-hybrid. Hybrid Blue

Funny as I got the non-Hybrid white to match my Ultra White 450h.
