I would assume that Lexus makes a tow hitch receiver and mount for the 2016 RX. Anyone see one of these and when will they be available?

Also wanting the Weather tech digital fit floor liners but they still are working on them.

If installed by the dealer I would not be concerned. My is just the Luxury model and it should be less complicated. Just need it installed, I am missing the jetski am having to get someone else to trailer it to the ramp.

Default Trailer hitch install

Took a look under the rear bumper and noticed that their appears to be
pre-drilled holes ready to accept a hitch. The only concern I have is
having to deal with the rear bumper fascia and whether or not it needs to
be cut a little to allow the hitch to sit a little higher in the frame, so as not
to be too visual when viewing the RX from the rear. I believe that is how
some previous model hitches were installed.

I would like to know what they will have to do, too. While I love the looks of my RX, I will have to accept it may change the rear end looks some, but the jetski and bike needs to be transported in the end and is important to me too.

UPDATE:

Just called my dealer and they NOW have a part number and are having it sent from the Texas warehouse. He said should be at my dealer later on this week. At last my RX will be complete.

I will post some images of the back and underside of my RX when installed.

I am in New Jersey and have had my RX for a week. I inquired about a 2" receiver and was told that its $550 plus labor from Lexus.

I ordered mine through Lexus a couple of weeks ago and they just called and said it was on back order till the middle of January. I do not like the costs but I have a ATV and Jet-ski that are very important to me. Just want it as quick as possible.

I ordered one with the purchase of our F-Sport but of course they were not available so there is a note on the file to contact us when it comes in. We were told that the accessory catalogue has not been released which is the hold up. We need it to mount the Bike rack off the back but since its winter, there is no rush.

My salesman said you can not install a tow hitch because I needed the " tow prep package when purchasing the vehicle and yours did not have it"

"The tow prep package is factory installed that has an extra radiator coolant for your transmission to prevent from overheating when towing and to plug in the brake light for the trailer."

Looks like if I do not need the plug in brake or coolant stuff, since I am just using the hitch for bike rack then I think it could be possible.

Thoughts anyone?

Also I was quoted "$831.00 Parts only" What is everyone else paying?
