I was told that the cars are at the port and being held. The dealers have the VIN numbers, but that is about it.


They will not release the vehicles until more of the 2015 models are sold.

I'm probably wrong, but isn't the RX built in Canada? Do they still bring them down to the port of LA on a ship? Seems to make more since to truck them into most of the US if they are just across the border.

Some dealerships have huge car lots located next to ports were they keep their cars before they go to dealerships. They would probably ship large quantities on a ship for some states and they might also truck them to the northern or closer by states.

I got a price of $52000.00 (MSRP) for a 16 AWD RX350 with Nav. system, prim pk. ect. what would be a good out the door price?

Yes, cars are being built in Japan, but the Canada factory is intended to service North America (that's what I was told). This includes the 450H as far as I know

Full MSRP on a completely loaded 450h FSport is right at $64k. I have the full sheet on option prices but don't know if I can publish it yet.

I just received confirmation that no units are being allocated in the United States with heads up display. If you want heads up display you will have to special order one and it will be built in Japan, and will take 4 to 6 months to arrive.

That's lame because it's a cool feature and option -- but makes me feel better because mine doesn't have it!

Where did you received that confirmation? I thought only 450h models were from Japan. I hope 350 with HUD is from Canada. I already pre-ordered mine which is 350 F-sport with HUD.

I heard this from 2 difference sources...you'll get it around March probably.

I already got a VIN number and info for my preoredered one from the dealership and VIN number decoder says manufactured in Canada. I ordered(picked from dealer's preorder inventory lists which already had some equipments) fully loaded F-sport with HUD.
Also, dealer showed me the factory manufactor date which was around November 17th. I'm confused now.

Well, then they could be incorrect. I would hope that wasn't the case, but then again I'd like my RX to be built in Japan anyway. Can only be better.
