More important than the new "stylish philosophy" is the business philosophy expressed by the Lexus VP/GM:
“We know [the new design philosophy] can be polarizing and we know we can upset our real traditional owners, but if we don’t do that, we can’t open the minds or attract folks to us who would have never considered us. The downside of losing some of our loyal followers will be way offset by people who look at us because of that design.”

Don't know about the "stylish philosophy", whatever that may mean, but that grille will be a nightmare to clean the first time it drives through southern Florida. It'll look "stylish" allright.
