I do agree that the interior and the ride and drive of the 16 is a huge improvement over the 15, styling is subjective.
Interior quality was a big issue with the previous RX.

16 RX is fugly, noisy and all Toyota
16 looks like a transformer and the grill is grotesque. If you like the 16 RX I suggest you drive a RAV4 and put the rest of the money in the bank. Very uncomfortable and console is too cluttered. Plus the ride is terrible, lots of noise and vibration, definitely will not purchase one of them in the future. Just plain ugly. Lexus lost a long time customer. If that interior is in the top 10 best that is sad. IMO Toyota has lost it in styling all their recent designs are fugly.

Any comparison of the 16 RX to a RAV4 is ridiculous lol. Call it ugly, that a valid description depending on your aesthetic, but saying it drives like an Rav 4 is just silly.

Anybody who compares a RX to a Rav 4 has no idea what he is talking about. Seriously? A rav4? At least be logical and compare to a vehicle that is not as SMALL as a rav 4. If he can't make correct comparisons than he is definatly not a car enthusiast. Therefore his impressions of the 4RX hold no value to those of us who are enthusiasts. Take his comments with a grain of salt.
Where I live the RX is selling like hotcakes and the dealer cant get enough of them to sell. So apparently the RX is desirable vehicle and that says alot. I see so many 2016+ RXs it aint even funny. And the best part is for the first time not only do i see a woman driving it, i also see men driving the new RX. The previous generation RX is almost always been driven by a woman.
Before I would never consider buying one because it was outdated and design too feminine. Now i want one but cant find one because they are always sold out! LoL.

I wasn't even considering the RX when I was looking for a new vehicle. Whenever I got the latest RX as a loaner when servicing my previous '05, I thought the interior looked cheap as in too much plastic. I missed the leather on the interior doors, etc. The center console is very well done, in my opinion. Yes, the dash is very busy and the control layout throughout the vehicle takes some getting used to but so far I haven't come up with a better solution in my head. As vehicles become more complex, ergonomics becomes an issue.
It was at the '16 Chicago Auto Show that made me look at the RX more seriously. I thought the interior was a far improvement over earlier models. The exterior styling does take some getting used although I still think the gen 2 and 3 styling holds up well.

I'm 37 and I loved the new 4RX immediately when I first saw it. The new grill and front end is so sexy. Actually, the entire car looks great imo. Finally the RX looks masculine and mean. Thats why I just bought one. Love the way it looks. Hated the soft and feminine 3RX.

As as far as colors, Would like to see an exterior color option in Atomic Blue, but Atomic Silver is nice.
