Anyone know how/ever had to replace the cupholder on the captains chair in the RX 450HL? I believe I can purchase a replacement online, but haven't been able to find instructions/guides on how to install the part.
I hope you get an answer. We have dog that moves around in the back. I duct taped the cup holders shut, because they look like they cannot take much abuse. Don't know why they could not have been part of the console and thus more durable. I believe they are a bad design and are inconvenient for people in the back seat. They should have been on the console where people could see the cup holder easily, Good luck

Install was easy enough. There is a plastic tab that I pushed in to remove the old cup holder and replaced it by attaching the new cup holder.
Local Lexus dealer was charging $600 for this job (parts + labor) I was able to buy the cup holder online for $100
