Don't expect any major changes though. The 5th gen RX is not expected until the 2023 model year.

This is what our Lexus dealer said.

Default Lexus RX 2022

Hi everyone, I am planning to buy my second Lexus ( yes I’m big Lexus fan and loyal !) I heard rumors that the new Lexus RX 2022 will have some design changes (facelift, etc ). But I can’t really find any source online to confirm or deny that for the RX ( only the NX have a leaked new redesign) . Any one heard/read anything ? Because if it’s changing , I can hold on for 4-6 months to buy new one with the new redesign, but if it’s staying the same, I might buy it now, as the dealer close to home having summer offers and what not, but they don’t know if there are any new designs coming for 2022( or deny it ! )

I was kind of surprised myself when I went shopping recently for a new RX. Apparently, the original model of this production run which started in 2016 ran for 4 years rather than the typical 3. With that in mind, this facelifted version started its production run in 2020 model year. I would not expect a new model until the 2023 model year. Who knows, the last NX had a 4 year run after the refresh, so even 2024 is possible, but I would not expect any significant differences in the 2022 model.

Cambridge facility is being upgraded to produce the next gen NX on the current Rav 4 line. They are focused on launching it right now, so I suspect the next gen RX will be 2023 at the earliest.

Default Limited '22 exterior colors

Continue to enjoy the RX vehicle. Current color is the 'Beige', which you do not see many. Unsure why as it looks great and shows so well.
More than 80% of drivers prefer (in general terms) Black, Silver or White For upcoming year, they keep limited inventory of red, blue/mica and (ow my) awful green.

Does anyone think the exterior color options are limited to the big 3? Will it keep anyone from buying new?
Yes, what other colors would you want, but you sometimes see new color hues from auto mfg. and other industries.

Is it just me? Like to read your thoughts on this.

Well, you can get black, black, gray, gray or white, so what's the problem?

Just received my 2021 in Moonbeam Beige Metallic. Had to be special ordered. Basically its silver with two drops of beige in it. I would have preferred Satin Cashmere Metallic but that was dropped in 2020. For 2022 they dropped the Moonbeam Beige color entirely. It's not just Lexus, but it's across the board. Just what people currently want. Just my opinion but I wish the color choice was better.

Not just you. I'm slightly amazed at all these flat battleship gray new cars I'm seeing of late. I don't get it -- every time I see one, I flash back to the first car I remember riding in, a battleship gray 1948 Dodge. Yuck.

Personally, I've already owned all the white cars I ever want. If I'm going to lay out $50+ K, I'm getting something with a little more noticeable appearance.
