Hi all! New to this forum and shopping for a RX350! I was looking at an F Sport trim yesterday and noticed these “vents” on the dash and also a rubber sealer (?) the pushes against it when it closes. Any ideas what this is? My first assumption it’s the for window defroster. Thanks!

Reason: Typo on title
That's what they are, you can see the vent right there on the window sill (so to speak)
Thanks! That’s what I assumed, but there was a thought of it as a cabin depressurizing system. Have you test drove both the RX350 and GX460? Referring to 2020 for both models, and torn at what to choose. Somehow the GX460 feels more upscaled luxury and like a tank. But the trade off the is the MPG.

Why would there be a de-pressurizing system in a car? It's not an hermetic seal as far as I know.
Did not drive a GX460, but it's in a different class than the RX and much more expensive
The last GX I looked at was WAY behind the RX in technology. The little LCD screen looked like my wife's 2015 Hyundai.
The GX is really a Toyota Land Cruiser with a different badge. Here in Canada they stopped selling the Land Cruiser many years ago as no one would pay THAT price for a Toyota.
They brought it back years later as the Lexus GX and some people bought it (leased it)
As far as I know the Land Cruiser was selling well in the US so I could not understand the reason being for the GX unless it was to give Lexus something more rugged albeit with less technology.
