Default removing driver side mirror ?

Would anyone have a diagram or how-to on how to remove the driver side mirror assembly?
I just bought a 2016 RX350 F-Sport 3 model three weeks ago. Driver side mirror is vibrating and driving me mad.
I told the dealer, when I test drove, that as part of the sale I wanted the mirror tightened up.
They had the car for two days (they needed to replace the windshield) and was supposed to tighten the mirror.

Well, it's still vibrating. Passenger side is rock solid. I can bang on the passenger arm rest and it's still solid.
Driver side...giving the arm rest a tap vibrates the mirror, so it leads me to believe that maybe the harness is causing vibration to travel to the mirror.

I would like to remove the mirror glass and take a look at what's behind - anyone know how to safely remove?

thanks!

The Gen 4 side view mirror assembly is unbelievably (from my view) complex -- it is a "system", with multiple printed circuit boards, motors, LEDs, etc. The dealer will charge about $700 to remove and replace. Don't ask how I know that ....

Lexus NX and 2019-2020 RAV4 also exhibit this same problem, as evidenced by numerous complaints posted on their respective forums. Similar to your RX, they all have the exterior rear view mirrors mounted to thin sheet metal instead of the more rigid door frame. After years of study, Toyota recently published a factory-recommended fix for the RAV4 "mirror shake", in the form of a technical service bulletin. Perhaps if you print a copy and show it to your Dealer, he might be persuaded to (or shamed into) contact Lexus/Toyota corporate for the necessary parts.

The relevant Technical Service Bulletin can be viewed or downloaded here:

I read through the RAV4 TSB and that kind of makes sense. I can see if the metal is thin, that would contribute to being a cause of the vibrations.

I've taken many door panels apart and done harness rewiring, so I'll look at giving this a go on the weekend.
Thinking I can take it apart, use cardboard to template and then mock up a reinforcement piece in tinkercad and print out in ABS. Just need to find the longer mirror bolts from the TSB.

Will take pics and update
