sorry to hear, but as I said, I would not wait for Lexus to call you. I would contact a dealer and let them know that you would like to schedule the work. I have no idea on turn around time. Good luck.
Question to all those that have had the Fuel Pump replaced in by the recall....
When service was done did the inside of your car smell like gasoline? The gasoline odor was very strong. The Lexus advisor said it was just vapors when they opened up the gas tank (which is under the rear drive-side seat) and to leave car with windows open to air it out over the weekend. Well is been 2 days with the car sitting with the windows down but I can still smell gasoline especially under the rear driver side seat. I'm pretty sure gas was spilled in the interior.
I don't think it right for the dealership to hand the car back to me smelling like gasoline but the Lexus dealer made it sound like it was normal and that the vapors would go away.

mine was just done on Saturday and I didn’t smell any gas. Seems like a usual solid job from my dealer.
See my post #166. They probably spilled gas in the interior, because your tank had a lot of gas in it.
Yeah my tank was full when I dropped it off. No one told me otherwise. I also had a car seat attached which they removed. I would assume the dealership would drain the tank before they serviced it and not let it slosh around.
Am I being too demanding to bring the car back? Service technician had told me to just air it out when I complained 1st time.

You can take it back, but honestly I don't know what they could do that you can't do. Find a place where you can open all the doors and let it sit and air out -- in the sun would great if that is possible. It might take awhile. Get an air freshener that is for a car that has cigarette smoke odor. I think there may have been some direction in the recall instructions that you were were to bring it in with less than half a tank of gas -- the dealer might not agree that there is any fault on their side, so I think I'd try to deal with it myself rather than lose a hassle.
So I talked to my service guy and brought the car back to the dealership. The kept it overnight to Ozone the interior of the car. Car doesn't smell like gasoline anymore.
The tech at the dealership should have known better. I agree with dibl about the recall instructions they just skipped a step or two.
Glad you got them to make it right.
I’m having the fuel pump recall work done next Monday. I also asked them to see why if I am going downhill and apply the brakes the front end shakes like crazy. We shall see what they come up with.

warped rotors or heat spots.
seems to be a common issue with this vehicle, although my dealer refuses to admit it.
also refused to cover it, citing that brakes and rotors are a “wear and tear” item.
Had my low pressure fuel pump recall done on my 2020 RX.. No problems. Was pleasantly surprised that I brought car in with 1/8 of a tank at their suggestion and they filled it without charge as part of the recall work. Also had 30,000 mile service, new tires and front brakes. Shaky brakes going downhill gone.
Got my recall done last week. Local dealer called and said my 2020 RX350 was on the list. Setup the appointment, gave me a loaner for the day and got the car back the next day. Car washed and gas filled up as they said they’d do.
Dealership definitely scraped my bumper paint and left a dent when moving stuff around to access fuel pump in cargo area. Double check your bumper and car for damages after the repair, take pictures and videos before the repair at the dealership for evidence.
The repair was completed at Lexus of Bellevue
Changed fuel pump at around 15,000 miles with 25 miles left in the tank.
Dropped it off at 10:00am, got a call to pick it up at around 2:30pm. Received it will full tank of gas.
The car does feel a little more smooth when accelerating, maybe just placebo effect?
Received 2020 NX300H as the loaner
