After market audio systems
My 2019 RX 350 with the non-ML system sucks. The right front door speaker is already blown and I do not listen to audio at excessive levels or with the bass turned up. Since this speaker just farts at me now and I hate the sound of the system I was looking into aftermarket speakers/amps but I'm surprised to not really find any options. There are aftermarket systems for just about every Toyota where everything has been figured out soup to nuts including options of keeping the OEM head unit (a must in the RX350), DSP, wiring harnesses, etc but I can't find anything for the RX 350. Does anyone have any leads?
Sure, but I'm not satisfied with the entire system so if I'm going aftermarket why waste my time replacing the speaker under warranty? There are so many videos and websites about upgrading just about every make and model....except for the RX. I'm going to go see a shop next week about my upgrade options. My guess is speakers, amp and DSP since I'd have to keep the OEM headunit...shouldn't be too difficult.
The RX isn't a vehicle that has a following that regularly upgrades the audio components. That being said.... It's a shame you didn't listen to the ML system before purchasing. Easily the best audio in any car that I've owned or upgraded.
Agree. I consider the standard system as excellent. If you're a picky audiophile, then by all means go for the ML system. Haven't heard of too many people blowing out speakers.
I did listen to the ML system and while better it was still not great IMO. I was all set to go F-Sport with ML but after a long test drive I found the bolstering on the seat too excessive and I'd rather spend money on an aftermarket system than the cost to upgrade to the luxury package just for a stereo that I still didn't love. For half the price I can easily get twice the sound.
