If you're leasing, DO NOT put cash down. You're just throwing your money away.

Why is it throwing money away?

If its a true Down Payment, the money becomes nonrefundable in certain situations (for instant the vehicle is stolen or totaled).

Be sure its not an MSD, where it is refundable. (No problems with this)

Yeah, if it's MSD (multiple security deposit), it's fine. Otherwise it is not wise, for the reasons mentioned. Sure, it'll lower your payment, but if that is all you're after, why not put that "down payment" in a separate account somewhere and divide it into 36 equal parts and apply it to your payment as you go. At least that way, if you total the car, you're not out whatever money is left in that account.

Good point. Too late now.
I'll have to remember that for the next go round.
With that in mind it will make me a safer driver.

I've been using Lexus web site to put together some options want. I can get pretty much everything on the FSport except
heated/ventilated seats. The quoted MSRP IS 62,280. (Houston, TX)
I've been driving Lexus for over 10 years, currently have a 16 RX. I can't believe the FSport doesn't offer heated seats.
My 2017 RX350 fSport has the heated and ventilated seats.

Heated/ventilated seats ARE available on the 2020 RX 450h. I have this model but elected not to pay $640 for the heated seats; in my previous Prius, My seat (as in my buttocks) always cooked with the seat heat on LOL. It's available under their "Individual Options".

I have the Panaramic view MONITOR, and the Heads up display on my new RX 350.
I highly recommend these options.
The HUD should be standard on the base model, but they only include it on the loaded models.
I don't understand why.

What's a good rule of thumb multiplier for calculating the monthly payments on a lease car.
in my negotians I found the best so far is $10.59 per thousand of MSRP.
is this a good multiplier for an RX350?

I concur. The panoramic view is really helpful when parking. I would have gladly paid for HUD, as my biggest annoyance in a few days of ownership is the lack of a digital speedometer. The HUD view of current speed, cruise setting and roadsign speed should be a standard view in the MID, at least. I found very few vehicles with HUD in my search, however, and they were only in some F-sports and even more rare luxury packages.

$100/$10,000?

Then add taxes.

That's the 1 percent rule.

The best I could get one dealer to agree to was $10.59/$1000 and that was after them taking a week to think about it.

I must be missing something. I just went on the Lexus site to look at current incentives. They show a loyalty incentive of $1,000 which I qualify for, and they show "Lexus cash" of $2,000. If you look at the details, both of them show that they cannot be combined. That makes zero sense. Why would anyone take the $1,000 Loyalty incentive instead of the $2,000 Lexus cash?

Im thinking there is an error and they can be combined. Does anyone know?

They can be combined. They were both offered to me.

Does anyone have contacts for good salesmans/dealers in Houston Area? Interested in buying RX350 base model, not premium or anything. Is OTD Price 40k acceptable? I have no experience whatsoever for pricing.
Thank in advance.
