Default Please share your thoughts on this CPO :)

Hi everyone

Im in the process of surrendering my vehicle back to Lexus due to the Lemon Law. Now I’m in a crunch to purchase another vehicle. I really like my 2016 RX 350 minus the transmission issues. So I’m looking at this vehicle but it seems over priced, it’s a 2018 CPO with 11k miles.

I really dont don’t want to get another car with large issues like I experienced, what are your thoughts?

Thank you

Lexus/drivers.com show the 5,000 and 10,000 mile service was done. The only thing out of the ordinary the owner stated was at 5,000 miles: GUEST STATES RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE IS MAKING A RATTLING NOISE. GUEST STATES INSIDE DOO ~ ~GUEST STATES RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE IS MAKING A RATTLING NOISE. GUEST STATES INSIDE DOOR HANDLE IS LOOSE AND RATTLES WHILE DRIV. I would make sure on test drive this issue has been resolved. Site did not state what they did if anything to resolve.

Thank you, so much, I will make note of that. Where would I find that info? I looked at the Carfax and didn’t see that detailed

why are you pursuing lemon law? if its is over the transmission, i wouldn't get right back in to another rx350.

I was thinking the same thing. If your absolutely hell bent on having an RX at least do yourself the favor and make sure it’s the 450. It doesn’t have the same issues with the transmission hesitation that ALL RX350s have.

You can register for free. It gives you so much more detail on the maintenance done at either a Lexus or Toyota dealership.

I was actually toying with that idea as well. I’ve began looking at BMWs.
But on the other hand, with all the issues I experienced with my RX350, I did not have to come out of pocket at all. So I’m confident with the Lexus customer service. The 450 is too large and the NX is too small, so I was thinking 🤔 maybe I’ll try a different year since 2016 had a high volume of transmission problems.
idk, I’m really torn and I need to make a decision really soon due to the surrender date of my current car.
Thanks for the questions and info everyone, it’s providing me with different things to take into account.

I’ll do this as well, it will be interesting to see what’s onfile for my current RX350

450 is the same size as 350, but has the hybrid drive train with a CVT transmission, which doesn’t have the hesitation/vibration problems that the 350 has.

Be careful of that broad brush. It doesn't include my RX350.

I guess you have a special RX then, completely quiet like you said in the other thread and no hesitation right? They all do it to some degree, it’s the transmission. You just don’t notice it, just like some people drive so reserved they don’t even notice the hesitation issues and never get the TSB done. I can guarantee anyone who’s experienced the hesitation first hand can easily replicate it if they drove your car. Have you done the TSBs?

I ride in Sport mode all the time. Never had any TSBs done.

lol! Well that explains why you don’t have any issues! The car does drive amazing in sport mode. I used to only drive in sport mode especially in traffic the hesitation was horrible. After the TSB I barely have desire to use sport mode. Highly suggest you get the newest 0032-19 TSB, it eliminates most of the hesitation.

That’s an excellent idea. I’ll look into that more. I’m finding very few Hybrids with the Luxury Package, Color HUD and Panoramic View monitor a Panorama Sunroof

Thank you for that suggestion

It's a good price for the panaroma view and color HUD. Very hard to find that in F-Sport models.
