I have a brand new 2017 rx350. I've noticed that when I steer under low speed, such as parking lots, a rubbing sound is made with a slight vibration. I can rotate the wheel left and right and replicate this "rubbing" everytime i steer. I've heard of a similar issue for older generation rxs and wanted to know if anyone else is having a similar issue. Thanks

 

Some of us here experience vibration at low speeds. Dont recall any rubbing sounds. Could be two seperate issues. Sounds like a trip to the dealership.

 

no vibrations.. but i hear a slight rubbing/whine noise when i turn the steering wheel.

i attributed it to being normal and probably had something to do with the steering system.

 

I had the rubbing sound when turning. Dealer found a steering boot that needed a little more grease. No more rubbing sound since fixed.
Take it to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty.
