gas pedal "spring" sound
It's normal for the design. Because it attaches at the bottom , not top, if you release your foot fast it will make that sound. Try it. Go down there use your hand and push it then quickly remove your hand. It happens once in a while for me
I will paste my reply to this subject I made back in April:
[I took a minute and looked at mine. It is the pedal itself making a low "sproing!!" sound when I let off it. It is a metallic noise, so I am guessing that the plastic part of the pedal (the black visible part) is attached to a metal "frame" underneath that is hinged to the floorboard. I noted that if I squeezed the pedal's upper sides with my fingers right as soon as it made the noise, it stopped immediately. So if they're going to fix it I guess they will fab some sort of thing to pinch the plastic pedal better to its frame. I myself am not the least bit bothered by this small imperfection.]

Am I the only one hearing this 'boing' spring noise after the sudden release of the gas pedal? It's a very silly sound... I'll try to record an audio of it when I get a chance.
Edit: I just realize the thread title has a typo. It should read 'Gas Pedal Release Spring Noise'.

There's a thread on this already.
Yes, it happens. You can easily recreate it by going down near the gas pedal where the base of the pedal is and using your hand to lightly flick it causing it to make that noise.
Only happens sometimes when I have to stop suddenly.

My Fsport has it too. I've always wondered is it mine only...
well that sucks. wonder if it does it to the F SPORT pedals as well..
Try, with your engine off, sticking your head right near the gas petal and use your hand to press it down all the way and let it snap back.
Maybe that will give you a better idea of what is causing it.
i've had lexus' all my life and didn't notice anything annoying.
My toyota does make a boing sound when I release the brake really quickly.

I have a 2017 RX350. The accelerator makes a springy buzzing sound when the foot is released from the pedal. The back of the pedal appears to be hard plastic. And the metal rod that attaches to the pedal has some "play" which I believe is intentional. However, I believe that when the pedal is released, the springiness of the pedal induces a vibration between the metal connecting rod and where it attaches to the pedal. This causes a very loud "buzz" which is very annoying. It also cheapens the feel of the pedal. My Lexus dealer said all 2017's make this sound. I've owned two previous RX350s and neither of those made this sound. I tried dampening the metal rod to reduce vibration but that didn't work. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have a solution? Thanks!
you can try dampening the spring noise
use a good quality foam around it
so it absorbs the energy when spring is released
start of new model year always have issues.
the subsequent new refresh models fix those issues
i would take it to lexus dealer and ask them to swap the pedal out

I definitely think Lexus should find a way to fix this. They simply told me "they (2017) all do this". Their response to you is silly and the opposite happens. The faster you take your foot off the pedal the more it induces the "boing" sound.
I finally found half a solution. Half because I still hear the initial sound that starts the "boing" in the first place. But I stuffed a wad of blue tac between the rod and where it attaches to the back of the pedal. This stopped most of vibration that was causing the "boing" sound which in turn stopped that sound. It's much better but still annoying that Lexus would let this design flaw exist in the first place.

They replaced the spring on my gas pedal under TSB and that fixed the issue. I do not have any issue brake pedal.
I personally would not mess with a brake pedal though. Its a matter of life and death, all for a silly boing sound.....
