When I get my new RX tinted, I do not want the rear windows to be darker (or minimally darker) than the existing privacy glass. What are the options for this? I know of 3M Crystalline and Llumar Air. Any others?

Just do 80-90% in the rear windows which is pretty much clear.
I have 40% in the rear, 70% on front, 90% on windshield......

Note, 40% is the darkest Crystalline is available... When parked in the garage next to my Audi which has 20% Llumar regular grade tint, the Audi seems a tad darker than the 40% Crystalline over the OEM tint..Custom clear bra on top of rear bumper so if i drag something out of the trunk it won't damage top of bumper . With Crystalline tint, there' s a "3M" watermark every few inches to prove its Crystalline. It can be removed once tint is cured using alcohol and the shop will remove it for me in a few weeks.

Does your crystalline have a purpleish tint at certain angles and when it rains does it have a goldish tint to it as well? Thanks
I always wear polarized sunglasses whenever i drive. So, no idea if there's a purple tint or not, but i can't see them thru my sunglasses. I had the car for almost a year and i've never driven it in the rain yet
I really want tint my 2 front windows as now windows really look strange not matching, however being that it's a lease will I be charged when I return the car with just front windows tinted?
My other question do you think I will have issue driving around NYC and NJ with 35% or 50% just on front windows? I mean worst case I would just get 2 tickets correct?
I am not planning on going down to 20% just want get rid of that contrast I see now with the back windows.
Thanks for any info you may be able to share on the above.

You will be good with 35% especially heat isn't as much as an issue in your location.
Some of us are in Texas and the heat gets bad (100+ degrees at times) and the state limit for front windows is 25% (but no one makes a 25%), so I got 20% on my two front windows (it matches my factory rear tint perfectly, but I would have been happy with 35% as well if it came like that from the factory).
I just had this done 30 mins ago for $95 here (a 5-star rated place here in Houston called Super Tint & Alarms).

Getting the tint removed from the 2 front windows should cost you slightly less than it costs to install them. So costwise, not a big issue...

If you really want to match the rear windows, then you need 20%.... but I went with 35% ceramic all around on my RX because it's illegal in Chicago to go any darker. I'm happy with it.
