Question - Is there any need to grease the drivetrain on a awd RX350?
Background - I have been going through all the maintenance on my daughter's GX460, and one item I still need to address is greasing the drivetrain. There are videos showing how to do this on a GX.
This past weekend, I did a brake job on the rear brakes of our 21 RX. During the process, I saw a zerk (edit: it was probably the blender for brake fluid) but I can't find anything in the manual about grease requirements or zerks. The GX manual outlines the type of grease needed for that vehicle. I can usually find answers to these questions online, but this was I've come up blank. Does an RX have any grease requirement for the drivetrain?

It’s on the caliper (see photo…it has a rubber cap on it). It made me wonder if there was a need to grease the drivetrain like you are supposed to do on GX’s.

You are probably right. I wasn’t looking to put grease in that…i never even removed the cap. I was just curious if anybody knew if there was a need to grease anything on an RX.
Pads and rotors. I’ve never changed or bled brake fluid.
Wow. Replacing pads and rotors without bleeding? Somehow I thought bleeding was always the last step of any brake job.

Guity as charged. I was distracted by the "brake job."
No, there is no need to grease anything on an RX, or any of my current vehicles. The last time I used my grease gun was... let's me see... probably 30 years ago. Amazing, still have it in my garage....

I have a pneumatic one in my tool chest, but I think I will have to buy a manual one for the GX. The manual one I owned was thrown away after a blow out lol. I figured the cost was so low it would be easier to buy a new one rather than clean the blowout.
BTW, the TIS documents didn’t require bleeding brakes on all my other Lexus vehicles and all the online steps for the RX matched the other vehicles (no bleeding required). The RX was different since there is a procedure you have to follow to back out the auto parking brake motor prior to compressing the pistons. Turning off the parking brake was not enough like it was in my LS (even though it also has an automatic parking brake).
I always check the fluid level before and after and it was fine on the RX.
