Window Tint for Panoramic Roof?
I'm thinking of just leaving the shade in the open position of our 2016 RX350 because of the know issues with it. This isn't an issue in the cooler months, but it can really get hot during the summer.
Have you installed (or had installed) window tint for the panoramic sunroof? If so, which type would yield the greatest blocking of the sun's heat?

I have 20% Carbon film on mine. I rarely close the shade, but not because I have ever heard of issues with it. I do wish I had gone with ceramic though like I did on my van. Ceramic will give you the most heat rejection by far.
I had plans to put tint on the roof panels as well with the intent to keep the sun shade open all the time. The tint installer advised me that just putting the tint on the roof panels would have a small effect of reducing the heat in the vehicle overall, as the large windshield is also a huge source of solar heat. He did not want me to have high expectations.

I've decided to get Suntek's Evolve installed on the pano. For around $200 it is certainly a cheaper option than replacing the pano shade if it jams.
TWT if it makes a difference. The maker claims 94% IR rejection.
I'll still use a windshield shade during the summer months. The luxury trim came with window shades in the back, but I doubt they do much.

Suntek evolve specs are not impressive looking at the TSER and IRER. Check out XPEL Prime XR Plus - they have one of the best TSER and IRER specs.
