Default No Transfer Case?

New here. Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I could not find anything with a search. I just purchased a 2021 RX 350 L. Upon researching, I see a lot of recommendations to change transfer case fluid and rear differential fluid at 30,000 miles. I also saw that the transmission fluid should be changed every 60,000 miles. When I called the dealer, I spoke to a service technician who insisted that this vehicle does not have a transfer case. He stated that it has a front differential. I first thought that this was just semantics, but I believe there is a front differential within the transmission housing. I also googled transfer case and saw a design drawing for a 2021 RX 350 transfer case. So I am confused. I am coming from an Acura MDX and had to replace the transmission at 200,000 miles. I do not want to do that again and preventive maintenance is probably the best insurance. Thanks in advance.

Check your documentation. If it says you have all wheel drive, then you have a transfer case and rear differential. If it says the vehicle is front wheel drive, you won't have either. The transmission and transmission fluid is a separate issue.

some googling on your vehicle, and peep at this from google (my) search:

“….The 2022 model year RX350/L Owner's Manual has included the use of LX 75W-85 GL-5 type gear oil in its specifications for an acceptable oil to use. All 2016-2022 model year RX350/L vehicles can use LX 75W-85 GL-5 type gear oil….”

search engine (won’t let me paste link): 2021 RX350l differential fluid

oh, you maybe asked to not talk about other vehicles in this forum!!

Very easy. If your rear wheels have axles, you will have a transfer case.
