2015 Driver side low beam with auto leveler
Hi folks, I bought the new Zenon HID bulb and when I just went out to replace it, it's nothing like I see in all the YouTube videos. The bulb is in a housing, there is a plug that can be pulled off the back of the assembly but it does not directly connect to the bulb. It looks like I need to remove the entire headlight assembly in order to disassemble the assembly to get to the bulb. Is there any link showing that? I reviewed many threads here, searched and watched lots of YouTube videos and found nothing on how to replace the low beam Zenon HID driver side bulb buried in the auto leveling assembly. Thanks in advance. What a Pain!
There should be a little metal clip/tab to that slots into the projector assy, which holds the bulb in. At least on AFS & Non-AFS projectors for the 2004-2009 and on my 2014 RX without AFS.
1. Twist factory igniter off (little metal “cover” over bulb)
2. Unclip retaining tab then lift it out of its channel. The bulb should slide right out. This part is a bit of a PITA and might require a little flatblade
3. Put new bulb in with the ceramic-covered return wire on the bottom. Clip in the tab then put ignitor back on

Thanks MattRX, I did not know that the metal cover at the back of the housing could be screwed off, I tried to do that and it came off. I also had to remove the battery to give me enough room to work in the space for the drivers side. Thanks, no where did I see it mentioned to remove the back of the housing by twisting it counter clockwise.
