DRL's (Factory)
I believe the 3rd Gen's have DRL's in the headlights. I believe these to be the small (park) lights up front. My Australian delivered vehicle doesn't have DRL's and I noted that there is no DRL fuse in the fuse box for it. Would it be possible to add a fuse and would this just "enable" DRL's on the car or is there more components than I realise?

Maybe this will help: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-help-drl.html
But in summary, it seems there is more to it than just adding the fuse. It may depend on relays and how your headlight switch stalk is configured. Also, maybe related to the type of headlights. On my RX (with HID) the DRLs use dedicated bulbs and are actually the biggest part of the headlight. I can't even imagine how the headlight would be configured if DRL wasn't available. |
You certainly can try to install the correct fuse and check to see if that works.
When I bought my Toyota Sienna years ago, the DRL did not work. After doing some research, I installed the fuse with the correct Ampere rating, and voila... DRL works :) Good luck! |
