Adaptive lights issue
Howdy. My 13 RX used to have xenon lights. They were replaced by standard halogen headlights at some point and the sensors for headlights leveling system were just sitting under the hood at a leveled position. From time to time they would give me a warning saying system is not working. I would re adjust the sitting position of those sensors and all would be well.
This time no amount of wiggling helps. Either one of the sensors died or I dont know. They dont make any noise or move up or down trying to make an adjustment.
Carista app shows b2424 code and cant reset it.
What can i do to disable the system? Or to get rid of the warning light on the dash which is very annoying.
Thank you.

I am not sure I understand. HID headlights are totally different than the halogen. The halogen, to my understanding, never had the auto leveling capability. Why would you replace the HID with halogen and expect there to be no problems?
Anyone ?
I bought a spare headlight motor but that didn’t solve the issue.
I used Carista to check for Codes, before it used to tell me that the left sensor is bad. Now it doesn’t come up with a code, but the dash message still says headlight leveling system check.
Anyway to by pass this feature since it’s not working anyway ?
Thanks.

It might be possible to disable AFS from the steering wheel multifunction display controls? On my 2010 I can disable it this way, but I don't know if that will prevent AFS errors from being displayed.
I bought adaptive light sensors for both sides. I can see them moving and making adjustments when I start the car. I ran an OBD scan with carista app. Before I would get a code for one of the sensors. Codes are gone. Still the message on the dash come on to CHECK ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS.
I even disconnected the battery to clear the codes. Still the message come on.
Is there a module I can disconnect at this point?
Thanks
