Taking the ECM out and am stumped on the glove box removal. The airbag is the question .... how do I get it off to access the lower screws on the glovebox?There is a plastic rectangle trim piece over the airbag .... does that have to come off or are there some bolts underneath that holds the piece on as a whole?

glove box is easy to remove, however, in ECM is not behind it, it is under the hood for anyone who finds this and needs to know. The toughest part on the glove box is the far left airbag bolt and black glove box phillips head. The vertical trim piece of the console side has to come off and you will easily see the two fasteners. There are (3) 10mm bolts for the airbag and (5) small black phillips head screws for the glove box. There is an electrical connection or two to the glove box so be careful pulling it too far outward without disconnecting.

 

How to remove glovebox door to re apply vinyl as mine has been damaged. I need to redo the vinyl layer and can't find instructions or a video anywhere for a 2013 RX 350 on removing the glovebox door only.
