I decided to take it at face value and assume it was talking about the main battery and replaced it. I figured it really wasn't wasted money since I'm pretty sure I was still running the original battery.

Can anyone confirm that the voice prompt was about the main battery and not something else??

Maybe it's referring to the key fob's battery?

Most auto parts store like AutoZone and etc offer FREE battery and alternator changing check. They usually can tell you reasonably fast (if they are not busy) if your battery and/or alternator changing system is working correctly.

Or you can go to your favorite Lexus dealership and get treated like a king/queen. While there get some free drinks and donuts. There may be a charge if your car is out of warranty.

Thanks Lexusrus, I've seen the key fob battery warning and it's just text on the instrument cluster. My "local" dealer is 90 minutes away and I'm out of warranty. KNowing the battery was old anyway is why I just swapped it out.

My guess is that ether her phone or some other Bluetooth device had a low battery condition.

Her phone is not connected to Bluetooth. The only Bluetooth device paired with the car is mine and I was three miles away.
