Question about different packages for '14 RX350
Hello all. I've been an owner of IS350 and older RX models and am considering purchasing a used '14 RX350.
I see there are different packages and standalone options available and wanted to confirm my understanding. I looked at a brochure on Lexus website at the link below and page 13 shows all packages and standalone options for that year models. If an '14 RX35 has headlamp washers, does it mean it's got the luxury package? It doesn't look like headlamp washers were available as a standalone option.
And how better is semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior compared to regular leather seats and interior?

AFAIK, the semi-aniline leather is only used on the seating area of the seats, BUT it sure looks, feels and smells MUCH better than the plastic-painted standard "leather".
You can use the Lexus Owners Site to find out what actual options that '14 RX came with. You will need to enter the VIN though.

I did add the VIN to the Lexus owner site earlier to check maintenance history but didn’t know it also provides options installed. Factory installed options did not show headlight washers somehow but all other options that appear to be on it.
So the standard leather on RX are not leather?? That’s sad!

Oh, it's some sort of leather all right, but if it hadn't been sprayed with the plastic finish, all you would see is some funky gray stuff. It came from a cow, but it's very low-quality "leather". Most car manufacturers use the same or a similar process for leather these days in their less expensive car lines. It's a cheap means of being able to say it's a leather interior. Lots of folks get cranky when it cracks and gets ugly very early in life.
More expensive cars will have semi-aniline or even a better quality leather that is vat dyed, not sprayed.
