High Beams not working / DRL's are Fine / All Modes
Hi All,
Appreciate the help with this.
I searched the forums and have not found a post specific to this issue.
High beams will not come on no matter what mode they are set to.
Both High beam bulbs are new from Dealer ( who replaced them after an appointment with tech assuming that was fix, gave car back and sent me on my way with the problem NOT Resolved. )
I checked the High beam R and L fuses, they are fine.
DRL's work fine.
Blue High Beam dash indicator is lit when stalk pushed forward.
Additionally:
The Low beam cut off shutter moves out of the way of the HID bulb when stalk is pushed forward to high beam mode.
Low beams move left and right when in a turn.
Vehicle:
2010 RX450h - HID Adaptive Headlights.
Thanks for the help!
Dave

I bet the stalk has an issue and may need replacement. Time to return to the dealer for more testing.

Been on internet for last few hours checking for relays in the engine compartment, and they are somewhat expensive as well ( esp for headlight relay...lol )
Will look up the stalks and see how much they are.
I've replaced one in a MINI Cooper before so maybe I can do this if proves out.
Thanks for the help !!
Found part.... http://www.oemlexusparts.com/2010-le...1400E030-item/

The same relays are used in many Toyota and Lexus products. Once you know the relay type and number, you could go to any local import auto recycler (A/K/A junkyard) and ask if you could pull one from a Toyota/Lexus. Take your old one to show them and match. Probably would cost under $10
Same with the stalk or ebay. If it is bad. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X2010+rx350+headlight+switch.TRS0&_nkw=2010+rx350+headlight+switch&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=2010+rx350+headlight
Go to Lexus South Atlanta Parts site as they have great diagram drawings of parts to help you identify what you need.
