Question Can I stop the side mirrors from auto-tilting when in reverse?

Whenever I am in reverse, my side mirrors both tilt downward. I understand the reasoning behind this, but it's not very good in the winter when my mirrors have ice on them and they try to force themselves down against the freezing ice.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? I've gone through all of my settings windows in my menu, but could not find a setting for this.

This is for a 2014 RX 350.

Make sure neither the left or right mirror is selected on the mirror controls. If neither is selected then the mirrors won't tilt down.

Just make sure the mirror selector is set to the "middle position".

I like this feature. But my wife hates it. She says:"I can see just fine!!" .

p. 96 talks about folding mirrors, not pointing down mirrors. That feature indeed is quite awkward.

Odd 2011 450H if you disable the source to adjust mirror the mirrors do not move when you move the lever to R.
