Is there anyone has a roof top tent on your 3rd gen rx350?
Hi from Aus.
I m looking for the roof top tent for my 2011 rx350.
I try to find a stronger aftermarket roof rack what suits to rooftop tent.
Please give me an advice if u have done.

Isn't the maximum load on the RX roof something like 150 pounds?

The SUV tent is amazingly similar to the vehicle tent my great grand parents used in the 1920's/1930's and which I played in as a kid in the 1950's except theirs was made out of heavy canvas and weighed well over 100 pounds.

RX is not going to be the first vehicle of choice for Overlanding.
However, you should be able to find something suitable in a place that specializes in this type of products.
Rooftop tent will likely go in place of the stock roof rack.
If you had a Prado or a Hilux, one of these would be the best:
